Greenoponics Integrated farm is located in Adhen village, RAK, an area normally noted for its better levels of rainfall and fertility in the Winter and Spring. The farm is surrounded by the natural beauty of sheer hill cliffs and valleys.

Integrated FARM

Integration of farming processes optimizes efficiency, resource utilization and sustainability of the overall system.

Input water is treated to achieve softness levels of close to zero ppm TDS, through physical / chemical / RO process sequence. The required quantities of macro and micro nutrients are then carefully added to the water, to dispense accurate levels of nutrition for the plants.

RO outlet water with higher TDS level, is sent for farming of fishes such as sea bass, which require near-saline levels.
Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) based hydroponics is for leafy greens cultivation such as lettuces, in Greenhouse. NFT system ensures that the entire irrigation water and cooling system water are re-circulated, avoiding any surface wastage.
Refuse water from fish farming is rich natural nutrients and, is directed for the growth of Moringa, Dates, Spinaches, Corn, Fodder grass etc.
Fodder grass is grown among the Dates and in other open areas, as food for goats. Goat droppings are rich in natural nutrients and are used as manure for Moringa and other plants.

Hi-Tech Hydroponics

Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) is used for growing lettuces / leafy greens, on A-frames with 20 steps. Over 37,000 plants are grown in one batch under natural sunlight, evaporative cooling, soil-less mode and nutrient dosing controls.

Fully Automated dosing system ensures the proper level of nutrients EC/PH for every growth stage.


Farm to Table

Farm is equipped with cleaning, drying, packing and cold storage facility to ensure  freshness and nutrition retention.

Hydroponics fresh produce grown in Greenoponics farm has to be transported only for short distance to the UAE markets, whereas conventionally imported produce has to be transported over much longer distances – thereby losing freshness and nutrition.

Aquaculture – Technically Advanced RA System

A closed  re-circulation aquaculture system (RAS), is devoted to aquaculture tanks, along with several open water reservoirs. The facility ensures water aeration, treatment and re-circulation with the intent to conserve water.

Edible varieties such as Sea bass, tilapia and ornamental fishes thrive in these tanks as well as in the open reservoirs.



Goat Farming

A goat shelter facility that can house up to 800 animals, is operational. The hygienic and clean shelter has watering holes, feeding troughs and dwelling space in two levels for the goats, in addition to a large, fenced and open area.

Goat droppings are removed automatically through mechanical chutes and conveyed for farming use as an natural, organic manure for the grass and plants.

Container Vertical Farming & Fodder System

Leafy greens, micro-greens and fodder grass are grown in closed, sea-worthy containers, using a Hydroponics system.

The system is environmentally controlled, with air conditioning, temperature / humidity settings, indoor LED grow lighting and nutrient dosing system.

1 kg of fodder seeds can yield upto 6-10kg fodder.



Moringa Farming

In the backdrop of sheer cliffs that form a natural barrier beside our farm, we have a lush green area full of ‘moringa’ (drumstick) plants. The plants are valued for their nutritious leaves and drumstick seed pods. The leaves are also considered as a superfood and has a role in traditional medicine.

Moringa can be propagated from seeds or cuttings. The plants grow well in water-deficient, hot weather conditions.

A compact bee-yard is utilized to locate bee-hives. We are able to generate natural honey of excellent quality.

The bees also lend a hand in pollination among the moringa and other varieties of plants in the open.
